We're excited for the return of Montreal's Corina MacDonald aka CMD and a 4-track EP of sublime cosmic electro titled "Haptic Controls."
The EP explores the emotive side of machine music, the world of carebots, haptic feedback and affective computing. Electro often evokes human-machine relations - the cyborg body propelled into motion by mechanical funk. But what if machines could read and respond to our emotions? CMD is curious about our interfaces with such machines, and the music we might make together.
Montréal-based DJ and producer Corina MacDonald has been recording squelchy dub techno as CMD since 2013, but she's been an active part of the local community for much longer. MacDonald has hosted weekly electronic music radio show Modular Systems for the last 15 years. As a producer, her furious fusion of rattling industrial beats and cavernous bass has found a home on Jacktone, Perfect Location and Low Noise Productions.

Few tracks get the party going like First Casualty. A staple in so many sets since way before its release, it gives great joy and euphoria, while being bold and dynamic. This record proved to be the start of something special for Nathan Micay. Props for the 24-bit quality and hats off to Whities for another gem. Edward
